Hi Experts,
We are currently in the process of documenting business requirements for an on-premises Sourcing implementation and looking to implement the Supplier Portal.
When roles are assigned to a supplier to allow them to log into the supplier portal, we assume there is a portal type role (that gives them access to the supplier tab and transactions and a backend role (that decides what authorizations relating to transactions they are trying to run).
If this is true, when backend roles are assigned is this done in the same backend as you would assign a role to a requestor or are the supplier functions handled in a different backend/application?
Thanks in Advance.
You will assign the supplier roles to a supplier contact person in same back end. To assign a role to a supplier contact, you need to go to Supplier-->Contacts-->Security
