Warning message on partner when creating an order from a contract

Hello experts,

When copying a contract into a sales order, the following warning message is diplayed : “exactly one partner could be selected”

Can we remove this message? is it related to the custo?

Answer :

Tcode : VOV8

Double click on the sales order type

Delete "A" from the check partner auth. "tab contract".

I assume  you are entering the different customer in sales order while creating order with ref to Contract if so  you need to have maintained in copy control VTAA sales document to contract in header level in copy requirement field 002 as requirement then only system will accept when the customer is differ from contact to sales order.

whether the data for customer is having any value or not ?

Here I feel the issue is in Copying requirements for your Header in VTAA.

Please keep 0001-copying requirement in header and let me know the difference..

Even with "copying requirement in header" on 0001, I still have the message:

Steps :

- Tcode VA01

- I added the contract number:

- When I clicked on Enter, the "releasing partner" was updated with the sold to party then it worked.

Could you please tell me why I'm getting the message: "exactly one partner could be selected”?

check your partner determination assignment  with sales document type i.e Sales order .

How partner has been assign with your sales document type.
