Hi Experts,
While we are upgrading the Solution manager 7.1 SP level using SUM (Software Update Manager) tool getting below error in Execution Phase
ERROR:
"Severe error(s) occured in phase MAIN_PROFSTART/MOD_PFPAR_TRANS!
Last error code set: Environment variable 'dbs_ada_schema' does not exist"
After adding the Environment variable 'dbs_ada_schema', We have repeated the the upgrade process but still same error exists.
System Details :
Component version : solution manager 7.1
Operating system : Linux x 86_64 bit
Database system : MaxDB

Hi,
dbs_ada_schema is nothing but the value of SAP<SID> or SAPR3 ( if your system is copy of older release before 6.20 ) what is the value you have added.
also check the local admin users permission? it should have full admin auth

Hi,
did you exit the upgrade tool and then run it . Before running the upgrade did you check that sidadm shows that env variable.
Can you please past the exact error message and the log file.
