CIF - Integration of Class 300 and 023 (ECC-APO)

Hi,

We are currently experiencing an error when attempting to integrate ECC Batch Class 023 into SCM and as such we would like to confirm the APO configuration required to validate if our current configuration is correct specifically in the areas of Maintain Object Types and Class Types.

We have reviewed links http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/en/b3/12813b680c250fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm but still have an open question regarding APO config.

CURRENT CONFIG

ECC Config - Maintain Object Types and Class Types

  • Class 300 (Org area A)
  • Class 023 (Org area A)

APO Config - Maintain Object Type and Class Types

  • Class 400 (Org area A)

*Note APO is configured for CDP configuration scheme

QUESTION

1) Prior to activating CIF integration model for class & characteristics with fitlered class types 300 and 023, does APO config under Maintain Object Type and Class Types need to include any other class type other than 400 and Org Area "A"? We are not sure if class type 230 is required to be manually added to the APO config PRIOR to CIF model activation.

Looking at below combination, which is the correct APO configuration required to transfer both variant class 300 and batch class 023 classes to APO?

NOTE this is a ECC 6.0 / SCM 7.0 environment

Int ModelECC (Org Area A) SCM (Org Area A)
Configuration Combo Class 300Class 023 Class 300Class 023Class 400Class 230Class 232
AClass 300 & 023XX X
BClass 300 & 023XX X X
CClass 300 & 023XX X XX

Thank you,

Hi J Gill,

here we configure the organizational area for class 400, 230 and 232 at SCM side. And it is working fine.

Be aware that the class 300 and 023 need to have the same name because in SCM it will be merged in one class.

Best Regards
