Using MD5 as an algorithm for a Webservice when connecting with SAP PI

Hello All,

In our Project there is a requirement to use MD5 Algorithim  of a Webservice .

However in SAP PI 7.11 , while using HTTPs protocol, we only have authentication mechanism as " Basic and client certificate "  and as a security layer is what HTTPS ( SSL ) provides.

But if anyone has used MD5 as an algorithm , then please let me know as its not standard with SAP PI , but can be adapted as an extended solution to the client . But not sure how secure and stable it will be .

So please provide your valuable inputs on how can i achieve this .

Hi Ravi,

MD5 is encryption algorithm supported by AS2 B2B addon adapter. you need to use AS2 adapter for the requirement.
