SAP PI migration

Hi,

We are planning to do migration of all our SAP Systems from one data center to another. With this also includes ECC & PI.

In this migration, we are expecting that IP address, host name & SID would change for PI & EC systems.

Please advice what would be the impact of this on our new systems & steps/process to mitigate the risk around changing the SID & Host name.

I would prefer system copy as that makes the things easier..

what is your PI version? Based on your PI version you can find the relavent system copy guide

Hi,

We are on PI 7.11. Can you also elaborate a bit on this.. We were told that all the DB, OS & Applications would be copied over to new hosting environment. With this new hosting setup comes the new IP address, Host name.

How does this would impact PI and how to mitigate this.

You may need adjust many things.. HTTP/RFC destinations..exchange profile parameters..
