Function in Variant configuration to read parent data

Hello all,

We have introduced a VC scenario, where the Sortstring from parent of the BOM component to select through dependency.

A function is in use to read the Sortstring in the parent.

Does anybody know, how one can simulate or debug the variant configuration simulation.

The BOM doesn't explode properly and the only message I receive is that the one if I create a production order through the Logs.

You can use transaction CU50 to simulate the configuration.

Here you need to assign values to characterstic for configurable material and hit on result button, it will give you resulting BOM component for selected values.

The function module CE_C_PROCESSING is usually a good point to start debugging the CU50.
