Are there any known issues or potential impacts for ECC6 EHP7 with PI7.1

Hi,

We are upgrading from ECC6 EPH4 to ECC6 EHP7 whilst staying on PI7.1.

I have been asked to investigate if there are any known or potential issues in relation to ECC and PI with this change.

Has anyone had any issues or know of any?

Hello Julian,

You should ensure note #1819457 XI Runtime: @versionMinor has incorrect value 001, and the notes referenced within are available in both systems.

Also refer to note #1832608 Implications in PI proxy connectivity after update BSi2011. This is particularly important if you use Message Packaging.

Please also note, the recommendation from SAP is that your PI system should be on the highest release in the landscape. See note #1043047 Compatibility of XI/PI in the system landscape, for details on this.
However the above notes will allow you to continue with the PI system on the lower release.
