Hello,
We're having some problems when trying to create engineering records, we always get an error message, but cannot find anything in the log files. The error message is a generic "Technical error; contact your system administrator"
However when we look at the Engineering Record Model in tx 'Organizer" it looks strange, is it possible to clean this up somehow+
Regards
Mattias
Hello again,
We've managed to resolve the issue, there was a number range in SPRO that was not set. Thank you for all the helpful answers.

Hi Mattias,
Sometimes this error comes simply because user is not having security role SAP_PLMWUI_ECR_MAINTAIN2.
Now even if user have this role if error is coming then it can be record model issue as mentioned by Umans, I have document to correct that issue apart from OSS note if required.
Thanks and regards,
Niketan Maral

Hi Mattias,
Please check OSS notes 1782757 and 1632401. These notes are about the wrong initial delivery of the Engineering record case model.
Check if these notes are relevant for your release and follow the manual steps in the notes.
I initially had same issue and the instructions in the notes solved the issue.
Regards,
Frank
