Hi,

I created a relational connection in IDT. I get an error when checking this connection.

Error message: com.sap.connectivity.cs.java.drivers.DBDError: [Data Federator Driver] [Server] [Connector 'testSourceConnection1384427674734'] An error occurred while trying to ping the server: Could not start JCo Server. See the trace log file 'dev_jco_rfc.trc' for more details.

Also: I share a screenshout about this error.

What can you suggest me about this issue?

Hi Fatih,

there is a number of knowledge base articles about that:
1848998 - BI4.x: Error JCO server is dead / could not start JCo Server and Connect to SAP gateway failed
1868844 - Error "Please check the SAP Logon information saved in the common connection" while creating Crystal Reports for Enterprise using OLAP BICS connection

1717718 - dev_jco_rfc.trc file not getting generated

Did you check the solutions given there already?

This is a issue with the patch.. Please update to a newer patch (atleast patch 10 ) in BI 4.0 to fix this issue..
