Where to find log files for debugging webdynpro application?

I deployed webdynpro application in Java. My application does not show any exceptions in web browser. At the same time, it doesn't do what I expected. Where should I be checking the corresponding log files?

Hi Narayana,

Check somwhere in C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log (defaultTrace.trc may be).

Hi Narayana,

In the SAP NetWeaver Administrator (URL /nwa) you can configure the logging and see the log files (usually Default Trace). The log configuration takes a bit of practice though

Kind regards,

Maksim,

Thanks for the reply. I had a look at the default trace file. But I couldnt find the time stamp anywhere. Am I missing something??

Hi Narayana,

Try to use C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\admin\logviewer-standalone\logviewer.bat

Best regards, Maksim Rashhcynski.

This question is answered so please let us know where you found the log file for the webdynpro applications and were there any special setting you had to do for that.
