Hi,
We are implementing SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7 with HANA DB. And we are having a RX 600 server-single box with 128 GB of RAM where HDB is running for DEVELOPMENT . Now we plan to virtualize HDB and to create another SID for QUALITY. We are not sure about memory utilization and memory allocation. So i need to know, how to split the 128 GB RAM for this two SID on a single box.How much size need to be give for DEV and how much size need for QAS. If i go with 70 GB for DEV HDB ,45 GB for QAS HDB and remaining 13 GB for OS(SUSE-LINUX) then how DB utilization and DB health will be? going forward if my data size become high, then how will be the frequency between SAP and HANA DB.

Hi,
As you are aware HA NA sizing is based on DB the RAM is determained.
There are different factors for compression of data
• BW on SAP-HANA ~ fourfold (because BW has a significant part of his
tables in the row store, only the application tables are in the column store
and only these could be compressed).
• In the other use cases sevenfold
Note: Please note that for a correctly sizing you can not use the size
of the table in the database. (Because each DBS has compressed
the data some how.
• RAM-Size = (Table size & compression factor) & 2
Table size = (Size of table structure & number of records)
The RAM- Size is the basic figure to find the necessary T-shirt size
Sizing notes with attached scripts which measure the source system and calculates
HANA target size even with compressed source databases.

Hello,
I would suggest you to please do through put based sizing from quick sizer tool which will give you basic idea about how much RAM and disc space you need for ERP on HANA.
Apart from that, please refer to SAP note 1793345. A sizing guide is attached to this note which will give you a starting point for this.
Thanks,
Sunny
