webdynpro layout suddenly stopped working

Hi

Recently I installed sap netweaver developer studio 7.2 for learning webdnpro abap. Everything goes well and I've developed many programs on it with out any issues.

But suddenly now view layout stopped working. when i open layout it is throwing the below mentioned 2 errors and showing the programs cannot display the webpage.

1. The value of the property wdp_edit_on is null or undefined not a function object.

2. The value of the property wdp_show_selector is null or undefined not a function object.

I tried to create an element unfortunately it is allowing me to create an element. But later it is throwing an error saying " sapwd_viewdesigner is undefined."

please help me.

Yes, I've done host entries. I followed the provided blog information only at first. And i developed many programs with out any issues. But now suddenly this problem arises.

When i diagnosis the problem in internet explorer . .  i found the below error

The device or resource (minisap.com) is not set up to accept connections on port "8000".

Is there by any chance port number which is used by netweaver studio is disturbed ?? If yes, please let me know how to resolve it.

or

Will changing port number will resolve the issue ??

HI Naveen,

You can check the port number on the ICM monitor for the HTTP service, by using the tcode SMICM.

if it is not 8000 then change to 8000.
