US ABERG may not edit this task (Meassge no.5W308)

Hi,

I please need help on the following urgently

An appropriation request is created in a PRD system.

The persons involved are completed on the AR.

When trying to submit the AR for Approval the following error is given:

US ABERG may not edit this task (Meassge no.5W308)

I didn't receive any such message in QA testing....

Why would it now appear in PRD...

The only difference from QA to PRD is that user ABERG had View and Change access for the Appropriation request on QA and only Display access on PRD.

Would this be the reason I'm getting this message in PRD?

Where the approver (ABERG) needs access to transaction IMA11 (Change)... and not only dislpay...

Thanks for the reply guys.

Issue was resolved.

Reason this was happening was because on Production the task TS00300052 was not set as a general task. For some reason when the transport was done it did not include this from QA to PRD.

Approvers must have the authorization to change an object, that is how their decision is stored by the system.

Hi,

This does seem to be an authorization issue.

Try to submit the AR for approval once again in PRD. After you get the error run SU53 and check missing authorizations. Alternatively, maintain the same authorization for the user in QA as it is in PRD and retest to see if you get the same error in QA.
