IDOC metadata

hello,

When the first time an IDOC arrives at the IDOC adapter, the metadata is loaded from the appropriate system via the IDX1 port definition.Could you please let me know , when we need to do it manually in PI system?

The Manual update is through IDX2 and it happens when you have some change in the IDOC strutucture in ECC side, for example, and it is not reflecting in PI. It seems like cache issue but it's not.

With this scenario, go to IDX2 delete and import the metadata again and the problem is solved.

That's explain when you need to do it manually.

As koen said, normally is not loaded manually. Sometimes when creates a Z IDOC and change segments or fields at the source structure is needed to delete the metadata and the first time you send the idoc modified, the new structure is loaded.

Maybe you can do this process loading manually the metadata instead of deleting and sending.

Hi,

I never needed to use the manual option. The only time I used it is to test whether the loading of the metadata works without problems.
