SM37 job author

Hi,

In SM37 there is a job, this job has an author.

Is there any way to move the job from an author to another one which is the real author so that

when he will select his own job by name this job will compare?

Hi,

There are two thing in job scheduling

One you creates a job and then another one who run's the job in the system.

For me author is the creator of the job and you can  do it by using the copy button in SM37 display job -> select the job and -> goto job tab and then select copy.

give the name of the job .

You will see a new job with the schedule state is created.

I asked to the user B to login with his username and copy the job of user A  (author) so that now

that job will have his name and he wil check daily the execution of his own job selecting in SM37 his username

Hi Guest,

Please make sure that the job does not have any dynamic variant that begins with &sign in the variant filed.  If so, even you change owner, it may not work. 

Dynamic job is triggered by some process, it won’t have any selection criteria, so if you run old job with change user that variant might not work.

Goto SM37--> Select the job . Click on change. Goto Steps . Click on Edit.

First section is for username. Change it over there.

Hi,

Please try the folloiwng for changing the User of a Scheduled job:

1. Go to transaction SM37, select the 'Scheduled' Job by checking the check box and then use the menu path Job -

---

> Change

2. You may reach the Change Job xxx screen. Here, click on the Step button

3. You may reach the Step List Overview screen

4. Here select the step in the list and click on the Change icon to make the User change in the pop up Edit Step window
