Integration Server is the runtime, but how exactly 1)Integration engine
2)Business Process Engine & 3)Central Adapter Engine works
can anyone help on this?
Central AE:

Integration Engine:
It s the place where message gets processed ie..message gets transformed from source format to target format...all the pipiline services will be executed here...
BPE:
It works same as the Integration engine but it executes integration process..some complex work processes built by integration process will be exevuted by BPE.

In Intergation Engine message is processed through different steps these processed one after the other these steps are pipeline steps . it is called is called pipeline it same logic as pipe fristinfirstout.
pipelinestep: Receiver determination,interfacedetermination,routing,mapping,calladapter
