How to find a package with a particular LABEL.ASC file?

I am trying to install NW 7.4 (the SAP Systems Based on the
Application Server Java of SAP NetWeaver on Windows: SAP MaxDB

Using Software Provisioning Manager 1.0) - see more details in http://scn.sap.com/thread/3446509.

I got to the point when I need to submit a folder with LABEL.ASC value = SAP:SAPLUP:740:*:*:* for SL Controller Kernel. I downloaded these packages, but neither has the requested by Installer value:

51039102_14 -> SAP:AKK:720:DVD_KERNEL:SAP Kernel 7.20:Dxxxxxxxx:*:D51039352

51039352_9 -> SAP:AKK:720:DVD_KERNEL:SAP Kernel 720:Dxxxxxxxx:*:D51047209

51047209_8 -> SAP:AKK:720:DVD_KERNEL:SAP Kernel 7.20:Dxxxxxxxx:*:D51039102

Please let me know

1. the package that I need to download for SL Controller Kernel installation (to pass this step).
2. how can I find the package for a particular LABEL.ASC file in the list of SAP Portal downloads (to resolve the issue in general - finding needed package on SAP Portal is a nightmare)?

Hi,

You need to go for Kernel 740 .

Have you tried this,

I have installed the first package. The second you have suggested resolved the SL Controller installation issue.

I got to the end the sapmmc has started.

Could you please answer to my second question in the original posting?

Hi mate,

Try to go in the SMP and see which system you are installing like you are installing NW 7.4.

Go to Installations and Upgrades - N" SAP NETWEAVER" SAP NETWEAVER 7.4

• Microsoft Windows ---->MaxDB (SAPDB)

Now when you see the list see some of the keywords what the SWPM is asking.

Like SAP:SAPLUP:740:*:*:* for SL Controller Kernel

So here the key word is SL Controller.

Or the best way is to use to read the Media guide as its always helpful.

i confirm you can find it in kernel DVD .

inside it there is the LABEL you are looking for:

for example

./NW731_Kernel_IM_SOL/DATA_UNITS/SL_CONTROLLER_720/

pwd

NW731_Kernel_IM_SOL/DATA_UNITS/SL_CONTROLLER_720

75> ls

LABEL.ASC  LUP.SAR  PRODLABEL  TOC.XML

SAP:SAPLUP:72:*:*:*

You are, apparently, talking about Unix packages (judging by ls command). I needed information on Windows and for NW 7.4.
