Dear all,

I have an error on the process of replacing Service Definitions, it says that there is no master RFC destination. In the transactions it says:

- no suitable RFC destination found to SDCCN setting.

So I can´t delete and replace the destination as the recommended.

What should I do?

Best regards,

Nelson Chamba

Dear Sharma,

This note is too complicated, I'm getting lost there.

for my case this is a fresh solman 7.1 sp8 installation and I running basic configurations which I end up here.

I want to know how do I proceed in order to solve this problem.

In the solution manager when you refresh the service definitions you must use the destination SDCC_OSS.

When you refresh session you must use destination NONE or any destination pointing to the solution manager itself.

Check note 727998 to know how to refresh the service definitions.

To maintain the correct 'master' RFCs go in SMSY -> goto -> Environment -> Administration SDCCN.

Here you can define the correct master destination for each system.

Do as below:-

1. Go to transaction SDCCN-> utilities->activate.

2. Goto Task->create->start the "Maintenance

    Package" task.

3. Also, goto task->create->start Refresh session.

4. In task tab "Done" mark the above task and reactivate using path

    Edit   > Reactivate.

5. In task tab "To Do" mark the task and restart

    using path Edit   > Restart.

6. The Service Definitions will be refreshed using RFC destination

SDCC_OSS (See task tab "Task Log" and double-click the detail Log of

    the "Maintenance Package" task)

Hope this helps in solving your issue.

Hi dear Sharman,

Check the results for the step 2 in screen shots.

Looks like I need to create and RFC for that but I don't 'know which one.

In my case its SDCC_OSS  as below:-

Same should be in your case(sm59) if sdccn is activated.

If not Check SAP  Note 763561 - Service Data Control Center (SDCCN) - FAQ

Hi Sharma,

The answer was in that note, note 763561.

First I had to create the RFC connections in SM59 and then link it on tcode sdccn.

Thank you once again.

Hi,

Please go through the below note and you will find that is the issue.

1907383 - How to setup and troubleshoot EarlyWatch Alert reports in SAP Solution Manager 7.1

Managed System

SDCCN must be activated by a properly authorized user in the PRODUCTION client (otherwise data may be missing). Please refer to SAP Note 763561 - Service Data Control Center (SDCCN)  - FAQ - for more information.

RFC Destination to Solution Manager must be defined in SM59 and in SDCCN.
In SDCCN > Menu > Settings > Task Specific > RFC Destinations is where the SM_<SID>CLNT<client>_BACK RFC should be defined. The RFC must test okay.

RFC for the managed system can be created in Managed system Configuration in Step 3 - Connect managed system.

Thanks

Hi Rishi,

1. The SDCCN was activated during the solman basic configuration using the users solman_admin. This is solman productions and I didn't connected yet the clients to this solman. Is the user not the one with the right authorization?

2. RFC to Solman - how do I create the RFC, can you please help on this. In SM59 and in SDCCN. I believe that here is the problem because the error says there no destination defined.

3. Can tell me how do I find Managed System Configuration in order to create the RFCs

Hi,

For Point 2

2. RFC to Solman - how do I create the RFC

RFC for the managed system can be created in Managed system Configuration in Step 3 - Connect managed system.

Another think you can follow the below steps to Maintain details in SDCCN

In SDCCN > Goto > Settings > Task Specific > RFC Destinations is where theSM_<SID>CLNT<client>_BACK RFC should be defined.

Another thing. Read before doing. If this is what you want to do.

Thanks

Rishi Abrol
