Truly gurus,
Been a basis dude for 10 years and I just learned of this malignant function, which can wreak havoc on SAP's integrity. (since I am also the DBA the concern is tenfold)
I'm talking about &edit_sap and I ask you to please advise me on:
* ways to restrict , or block, this function.
* ways to audit its usage, if possible.
While we're at it, please reveal similarly damaging functions.
Thanks & best regards all,
Claudio
Hi Claudio,
&SAP_EDIT functionality users can update tables even with SE16N (SAP has removed this
function with note 1420281.). Implement this note to deactivate that function.
1420281 - CO-OM tools: SE16N: Deactivating &SAP_EDIT
In Production system you should not have ability to update tables
Also, checkt this thread
