Hi,

This is best handled offline: please ask Satish Kumar Palukuri to send an e-mail to sapnetwork@sap.com.

The message must be sent using the e-mail address associated with this account: http://scn.sap.com/people/satish.kumarpalkuri

Hi Jason,

Satish mailed to that address and got reply from them.

team is telling that his mail id is associated with two Scn ids. and if they assign to one ID he will loose all the points.

he has no idea how to go ahead on this.

can you tell us how to proceed on this?

Regards,

Muniyappan.

Hi Jason,

Satish asked scn support team to assign one id to his mail id.

Now all his earned points gone.

he was having bronze before. now it is just Glass.

it is just disappointing and hard to accept who contributes to scn .

Muniyappan.

Hi Muniyappan,

We are currently working with our platform providers to get a functionality to merge SCN accounts, their points and badges, and their progression towards missions completion. This is not an easy task, it's complex, and it's taking some time. I wish we could be faster because I know this is a pain point in the community.

I'm talking with SCN Support to try to understand the different use cases for merging accounts. If Satish was informed that he would "lose" his points and decided to go ahead with the solution, I think he must have agreed and accepted the repercussions. In any case, his points are not lost for ever, they must be with his older account and once we have the functionality in place we can merge his accounts correctly and he will get his points back under the new account he uses now.

My recommendation is that we should not merge or link accounts today until we have a satisfying solution at hand. For now I think you can always link to your other profile that has the old points, start from scratch with the new account and merge everything when the new functionality allows it.

Laure
