BO 4.1 SP1 Mobile configuration

Hello All,

We have recently upgraded to BO 4.1 SP1 Update 2 and we would like to configure Mobile solutions. According to Standard guide "https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000508552013E/sbo41_mob_inst_deploy_en.pdf" Mobile is deployed and we can use it.

My question is how to use this application in Black Berry , as black berry is not having App .

HI Bhupesh,

For BB users, there is no playstore hence, there is no app available to download!

Well, Business objects provides the app for the same

Go to your BO installation directory/Mobile14 folder

check if you can find MobileOTA14 war file

Deploy this war file under tomcat/webapps

Once done, a folder with the same name should be created

then, access the url http://servername:8080/MobileOTA14 from your BB device, the app should get downloaded from the BO server

Hello Atul,

We have already gone through above mentioned document which is related to 4.0 SP4 , when we are using BO 4.0 SP5 there is a directory client in Mobile14 .

Once we upgrade to BO 4.1 SP1 Update 2 this directory is Empty.

As mentioned in BO 4.1 Mobile Installation / Upgrade guide we have checked in SMP also but no Luck,

Would like to Know if some one is using BO 4.1 SP1 update 2 with Mobile? and also how to get the war files for 4.1 . If we use 4.0 war files are not supporting for 4.1.

My Bad!!

Did not check the BI 4.1 guide//

Indeed the MobileOTA14 war file is now not available with the server.

You will have to download the same from the SMP site

to do so

go to service.sap.com

go to Installations and upgrades

Select M

SAP Mobile Solutions

SAP Business Objects Mobile

MOB SBOP BB

there you should find your war file

somehow I dont see the downloadable software for BB for version 4.1 of BO.  Are you sure, it exists?  I have neither seen user guides for BI4.1 on BlackBerry version.

Mobile BI Blackberry solution is there only for BB OS 6, its not there for new blackberry devices. No investments are planned to have a BI App for new BB devices.
