Hi

I just did a migration of my sql database to a new server with a new host name.

System is working but stms is not.  It try´s  to connect to the old host name.

This is a test system.  are there some post task that need to be done ?

where do I change this parameter ?

I found the fix.

This parameter was set by an windows varable.

Hi,

Have you check the default profile .

Second thing have you gone in se06 and selected the option DB copy or migration and perform post action. Then try to reconfigure stms.

I think its still picking old db details from file tpparam_instSID and TP_DOMAIN_SID.PFL from the /usr/sap/trans/bin directory.

Thanks

Change the TP_DOMAIN_SID.PFL on domain controller and went thru se06.

No luck still trying to connect to old db server

Hi

In the TMS Domain controller Logon to client 000  go to STMS delete the Old system enter in the systems once again you may require to reconfigure the New migrated system in the Same client as

follow the steps as mention below link from point number 5 onwards

What about the default profile in /sapmnt/SID/profile and the tpparam_instSID in the /usr/sap/trans/bin directory.

Can you please also let me know what all steps were taken for the migration and in the migration ,host name has changed.

Thanks

After migration have you performed one of the post installation task STMS configurations on TMS Domain controller? Kindly refer the Link
