Hello Gurus,
I have mapped cProject scenario as below (using version 4.5) -
Step 1 - Operative cProject structure will be created (in Structure Tab) and roles will be created for the project (Resource Tab)
Step 2 - The cost/revenue rates maintained (in config) for those roles will get determine in operative project (Resource Tab)
Step 3 - Staffing or resources (Business Partner) will be done for the role (Resource Tab)
Step 4 - The roles and resource planning will be done for individual task (Main Tab - Structure & Role Tab for the Task) by entering work hours for individual role & resource combination. I may have several roles & resource combination assigned to individual task.
Note - No cost/revenue rate will be maintained for the task (on Additional Data Tab)
Question - Will system calculate plan cost for the individual task considering assignment of role, their plan working hours and rates as explained in above steps automatically or any other setting is required to achieve this
Please let me know in case you need any further inputs
Thanks in advance
The system works in the follwoing way
If you specified a cost/revenue rate in Customizing for the task type,
this cost/revenue rate is used for costing.
If assign a role to the task, the cost/revenue rate of this role is used.
Staffing a role with a resource does not influence costing in task-based controlling.
Task-based controlling method, the roles can only have
any influence by means of the assignments to the individual tasks.
I hope this is of some help
Ger
