Hello Experts

OS : Windows Server 2008 R2

DB : SQL Server

We trying for system import of Portal 7.3 with distributed option ,

In SCS installation we are getting below error in the phase "install

common system files".

I am attaching the sapinst_dev log to the message. Please check and

help us to solve the issue.

syslib.filesystem.nodeCreationFailed: Unable to create node

\\<host_name>\sapmnt\ with type DIRECTORY: can't create parent node

Our user id are in administrator group , sidadm and SAPserviceSID also in admin group. We can create files in usr/sap manually. Can some one help us.

Hi,

Have you shared the drive properly.

syslib.filesystem.nodeCreationFailed: Unable to create node

\\<host_name>\sapmnt\ with type DIRECTORY: can't create parent node

can you go to this path \\<host_name>\sapmnt\ when you put in  Window explorer.

Also check if the host_name is resolved by this server. If not add an entry in the host file and see if you can access the Host_name.

Hello All

We observed that in file share we were not able to see drives. We contatcted to our OS team and they corrected it. It worked.

1. I thing it problem in the UAC & security Firewall setting in windows 2008 R2 servers disabled?  kindly refer the you tube video for UAC

2. Have you install the "File Services" role added in the Windows 2008 R2 system? Kindly refer the screen shot
