While trying to do CPA full cache we are getting below error ,

Issue is sorted out as PISSUSER password is wrongly mentioned in sm59 and exchange profile ,
corrected this and issue got resolved .

I am getting the same error and I tried all the steps still not able to clear Adapter Engine cache.
Also I changed the password in RFC and exchange profile too.

Please suggest.

In some cases the only help (and ultima Ratio) is to restart the PI System or at least the Java stack of PI.

Full cache refresh triggers a background job SAI_CACHE3_REFRESH_BACKGROUND which is visible in SM58 . If its failing then either the refresh is timing out which happens in most of the cases when return of cache refresh takes lot of time .
So please try if a restart can be done , which should resolve the cache issue (IMO cache issue is the single most annoying issue in PI which resolves only with a restart ).
Please take the logs and take a downtime for quick restart. You can post OSS to SAP with logs for analysis later to understand the root cause or any system issues. Also check if cache issue appears after any transport move to prod which should be analyzed .
