IDOC Archiving with dynamic date

Former Member

Hi,

While archiving EDI40 table via SARA using ArchObj IDOC, the scheduled jobs run fine with the created variant for date range selection (Archive and Deletion run fine), but when a dynamic date range is selected for the variant, the jobs simply finish without archiving anything!

Can anyone advice.

Regards,

Naga

what dates do you see if you open your variant in SARA?

SAP usually presents the calculated dates based on your dynamic date range definition

It probably does not archive anything because SAP does not find any IDOC in the range.

How have you defined your dynamic date range, can you describe or show?

Hi all,

Thanks for the updates.

Initially i used date range as 'less than current date -30', and it didn't work.

Later used the date range -xxx to -yy, just as in the figure showed above by Jurgen. And i am good to go.

Thanks again,

Naga

Usually Idoc archiving runs in a cycle with defined period of time. What is the requirement for dynamic date range ?
