FMEA issue with RPN value calculation

Hi Expert,

I am facing issue with RPN value calculation.

I have gone through this link

I have even read SAP library also.

But according this link I am unable to calculate RPN Value.

In Defect, under valuation, the field Effect,Severity, Cause, Prob. of Occurence, Prob of Detection comes in non-editable mode.So I unable to enter value in this field.

And field Severity,Prob. of Occurence, Prob of Detection are shown as Valuation only.

Do anyone have idea about it.

Hi Rajesh,

I think you have not created the Preventive and Detection Actions for the maintainance reel_09. Once you create that and enter the valuation parameters..There in valuation you need to enter the following things

valuation profile.

preventive valuation

no of valuations.

Resolved issue.

Actually there was configuration issue wherein earlier I have not assigned Effect under Defect type. So that I was unable to insert effect in FMEA. Bcoz for calculating RPN we need S=Severity (of Efect), Detection & occurence (i.e RPN = S x O x D). So S (Effect) was not there to calculate RPN.
