Hi All,
1) How can I create a incident in the incident management component in solution manager through for eg. BPmon alert inbox??
2) How can I then assign custom transaction types to the incident??

Hi Ashutosh,
Do you mean automatic or manual creation?
Usually in the alert inbox eg. in BPMon there is a button "Create incident" that you can choose after selecting an alert item.
If you would like to do it automatically you need to make a setting in monitor setup.
If you create an incident manually out of the alert inbox it is created as a default type you have set in your SolMan, and I don't know any option to change it (maybe it's possible, but I never seen any option)
In case you create incidents automatically via monitor setup you can implement a BADI that will create incident of a given type, you can find a document about the BADI creation here: https:/service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000525622010E/Auto-reaction_Messages.pdf
