I recently installed server version 4.1 SP1 patch 2, and I can see my information spaces in BI Mobile version 5.0.13 (this is not SBO Explorer, but SAP BusinessObjects Mobile). Every time I tap on one of the information spaces, I get "Error Opening Session" with an ok button, then a black screen. I'm logged in as the administrator, and the spaces work fine in the regular web browser, and work in SBO Explorer, but I was under the impression that this version of BI Mobile would be able to open explorer infospaces.
Anyone else seen this issue? Searching for "Error Opening Session" has been fruitless. Maybe I just have to wait until 5.1.xxx shows up? Alternatively, does anyone have this working, and did you do anything special to make it work?
Thanks in advance.
Matthew
Has anybody got a solution to this issue? I am getting the same issue. I am getting the error opening session (MOB 06010) (HTTP 500).

When we use the BI Mobile app. we get the following error on ipad and iphone. Desktop explorer works fine.
"Error Opening Session Internal server error occurred while processing your request; try again or contact your adminstrator (MOB 06010) (HTTP 500)"
The explorer app works fine without any issues.

Matthew, I am experiencing exactly the same problem. I am running 5.0.13, and the same problem occurs on ios6 and ios7 iPads.
Did you manage to find a solution?

I deleted my connections, and reinstalled the application, and created the connections. I get a different behavior now, I can't see any explorer info spaces in the app anymore, so I can't recreate the original bug.
I'm going to let it lie for a while, I can handle having two different applications for the reports and explorer until it stabilizes.
Matthew,
I would dis-agree, it's NOT a BUG. I just upgraded one of out test iPAD to 5.0.13 and everything works great. Our demo BI 4.1 w/ SP1 server has Crystal, WebI, Explorer, Explorer views and Dashboards. The problem could related to IOS v7.x, all our iPAD's are still running IOS 6.
What IOS ver are you running ?
Regards,
Ajay

Hi Ajay,
How would you define a bug in environment. If a application crashes in this case white screen for something when the access is not a problem then either its a Bug or its not a supported platform (Still kind of a bug from user perspective)
However checking into 5.1.13 release info which is most recent release its supported in IOS 7. So most likely this is a bug which needs to be perused with the SAP support..
• iOS7 compatibility
• Support for SAP BusinessObjects Explorer
• Support for SAP Lumira Server and Lumira Cloud
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sap-businessobjects-mobile/id441208302
Is it happening for explorer only or reports also are affected?
Does all the infoview show the same behavior?

Well, I created a new universe that simply brings in one table, and published. created an information space against that, and indexed it. It shows up as new on the iPad, but the second I click it, I get the same error, "Error Opening Session". This happens about as fast as the iPad can respond, maybe a 10th of a second.
BTW, sorry I didn't realize that BI Launchpad used to be called InfoView, I went and looked it up.
The new one table universe works fine in regular explorer as well.
Any other ideas?
Does the exploration view are viewset which normally shows in corporate category works any differently than the information spaces..
Try creating an exploration view if you don't have already and see if that makes any difference?
By the way the mention of infoview is my bad ... too much change of terminology and very related names flying around in SAP these days
Well, I guess I just learned exploration views, I've never used them before. Anyway, I made a small spreadsheet, uploaded it, saved it as a Exploration View Set, and marked it as category = mobile and mobile properties = Display on Mobile (probably not necessary, but shouldn't hurt anything). Anyway, I don't get the error, but I get a entire white screen, with no way to go backwards, so I stop the app running. I also tried it in BO Explorer, and it works fine there, just like an information space.
