Spaces getting added in IDoc

Hi,

I am working on PI 7.3

We are a finding strange issue in a SOAP(SOAP) to IDoc(IDoc_AAE) scenario. Where in some spaces are getting added before the values in IDoc in ECC. But when checked in PI, there is no issue.

Kindly suggest.

Hi Vishal,

XML processors like browsers , XML notepad will discard the spaces in xml . Issue must be residing on SOAP Sender system . Before checking from sender system , you try to test the scenario from SOAP UI tool and check whether spaces are still occurring in Idoc .

I hope you are not dealing with NON UNIOCDE characters. As it happens sometime that there comes some dummy characters in between.

Hi Vishal,

How have you checked inside PI the blank characters?, the navigator could skip these spaces. Have you tried to use the trim function in the field? (http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/Standard+Functions+in+PI+7.0)

Did you right-click one the payload and use view source instead of displaying it in IE?
