Open hub DTP load taking time

Hi Experts,

We have made changes to source Info cube i.e. added new field to this cube. We have an Open hub DTP on this cube which does not extract data from this newly added field. The start process of the first data package of this DTP used to take about 2 hours before but after the change it is taking 5 hours. We have done some analysis and executed few steps...

created indexes on infocube & DB statistics

checked the dimension table in sandbox after refresh and both look same size

created new OPEN HUB TEST DTP and manually executed.

All the process resulted in same time i.e. 5 hours.

Even the number of records extracted were not much different from previous loads....

How come DTP load time changed drastically from 2 hours to 5 hours just by added new field to source Infocube?

Please throw some insight!

Hi,

You said that db stats have been pulled have you used the below option (if oracle).

brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t all -f collect

Second thing have you tried to take sql trace and see if you could find any thing.

Third thing can you try to reduce the record like rather than running for huge no of data just try and see it for one record.

The field that you have added might have changed the criteria of selection and things might improve if you need to create any secondary index and see if it helps.
