What is the setting to restrict use of Network/Activities on WBS

In some of the project we use only WBS elements. There are no Networks/Activities used. At times the users end of creating Activities on these WBS elements.

What is the setting/configuration to restrict users from creating Network/Activities on a WBS eleemnts?

Hi,

Apart from all the above mentioned scenarios, try other options like :

1..Controlling the  Network authorizatons to only required users.

2. ACL functionality also restricts the Network /Activity creations as per the business requirement.

If the users who can and cannot create the network are different, you can control this through the authorization.

Hi,

Please check your project profile where in you might have mentioned the network assigment either to PD or WBS element level and also did you defined network profile?.

Ensure Network profile and Network asst should be blank under tab Planning board/dates.

validation can restrict any WBS for creating network or WBS.
