Error message

Hello,

I  try to install SAP netweaver Application Abap and have the following message

"An  error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including  Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB >  Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step  :the name of this host is SN4xxxxxxxxx02 which is more than 13 characteres long.

This is not supported for SAP server installations).

Hi,

Hostname must not exceed 13 characters. you should use a shorter hostname and start again.

Hello,

Please check the Installation guide for the Hostname requirement. It should not be more than 13 Characters. 

Change the hostname -> Restart the system -> continue with your installation.

You can refer to the below SAP Note for details.
