SOLMAN_SETUP -- system preperation issue

Dear All,

I am configuring SOLMAN 7.1 SR1.

In solman_setup , system preparation screen user creation is taking too long time, it is not going to next screen.

for SOLMAN_ADMIN i have created user manually and saved roles, but other users i am not able to view roles and add manually.

Please guide me.

Hi SRI,

Please check that SMICM http port is active.

Do you have fire wall between the solman and the your pc. If yes have you opened the http port .

Please port icm logs and SMICM service screen shot.

is the url generated with fully qualified host name or just the host name.

Create the following profile parameters in the instance profile:

1. icm/host_name_full = fully qualified server name

This parameter must be attributed to the fully qualified server name (for example,wdfd002568.wdf.sap). The name must contain at least two periods, see also SAP Note 434918.

1. icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT= 80XX ; for example: XX is instance no 8000
2. SAPLOCALHOSTFULL = fully qualified server name

Could you check if you have adobe flash player installed on the host accorrding to notes in following order:

Just put "&sap-accessibility=X" in the url and refresh the screen it should work.

Its already discussed in  1547441

Hi Srinivas,

Please check SAP note referred by Karthik and also article 1547441 - Flash roadmap for Solution Manager Setup

If it is not possible to use Adobe Flash, then add parameter "sap-accessibility" with value "X" to solman_setup url in browser as below, you will be able to see Roadmap steps (which are currently not visible in your screen shot) and proceed further :

<solman_setup url>&sap-accessibility=X
