Severity Description (Alerts) - field length

The "Severity Description" field length is 40 characters. This falls short of our requirements and we need to have this extended. Possible? How?

We know that the "Threshold Val". field (under "Define Threshold Values) allows additional texts that show appended to the "Severity Description" on the UI (on the element that violates threshold), but this part of the message does nor come in the alert email. In the email, the only message that shows in the one set up in "Severity Description", and this falls short of our requirements.

Its possible to change this in SE11/SE12 (once user has correct authorizations)

But just extending this can have untold effects ..

but before making any changes in the domain EVE_DESCRIPTION please check other related tables also where this domain is used.
