Hello,

I´m updating my SAP ERP6.0 with EHP6 and I´m in MAIN_TRANSEXEC/TABIM_TRANS phase, but It's running about two days. It`s normal this behavior?

The logs are updating and the process are executing.

Thanks.

Hi Ruben,

MAIN_TRANSEXEC/TABIM_TRANS phase took 3 days in my case. Furthermore, if logs are updated it means that upgrade is executing but you can check them to be sure that everything is ok. Good luck

Best regards,

Nicolas

Hello

Is this an Oracle database then you may check the above mentioned note which is

1635605  - CLIENT HANGS ON INSERT INTO TABLE WITH SECUREFILE LOB

If not how many R3trans processes are running in parallel ?

You could speed up this phase with the help of parallelism.

1616401  - Understanding parallelism during the Upgrades, EhPs and Support Packages implementations

Check whether there are processes running at the OS level.

You need check the /upgrade_directory/abap/tmp and /upgrade_directory/abap/log directories to check whether the phase is in progress.

Hi,

Please check this.

Oracle/Windows: Install patch bundle prior to uprade or update

Before you perform the upgrade or update for system on Windows systems with Oracle database, make sure that you have installed patch bundle 14 or higher. Otherwise the Software Update Manager can stop in TABIM_* or SHADOW_IMPORT_* phases, such as MAIN_NEWBAS\TABIM_UPG, SHADOW_IMPORT_INC, or TABIM_TRANS.

See SAP Note 1635605 for more information.

1843967 - Oracle: Add. Information - Software Update Manager 1.0 SP09

What is the database version. Till the time logs are updating no issues

But this time looks little unusal.

What is the the source and the target versions.

Can you please goto the t-code ST04OLD - > Detail analysis Menu - > Oracle Session

and check if there are many inactive sessions running. If it is the case, please refer the workaround

specified in the note

1635605 - CLIENT HANGS ON INSERT INTO TABLE WITH SECUREFILE LOB

Thanks
