The connection to the FTP server timed out while downloading data.

Hi experts,

from yesterday night in some FTP sender channels (not all),

it comes a message:

"Could not process due to error:
java.io.IOException: The connection to the FTP server XXX timed out
while downloading data."

What should I do?

I have tried restarting XI and XI java but the problem persist.

for these channels XI now isn't downloading anything.

Hi Fabio,

The FTP server seems to be down. Read Michal Krawczyk's blog http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2012/01/18/michals-pi-tips-3-ways-to-check-a..., to check the availability of the FTP server.

It could be due to ftp server down & try to increase the timeout in Sender CC.

Did you check this from Network team & FTP team also there might be issue from there side also?
