Work Center -in QM01 Transaction

Hello,

Let's say that you a final inspection for a machining process, and find multiple defects in single part. You would have a turning/lathe operation and a mill operation, so multiple work centers involved. In QM01 (Defects Tab), you can input multiple defects. However, the option to input which work center the defect was originated from is gray out. The option is there,  but you cannot input any value.

Should I create a different NCR for the other deffect? Please advise.

I thought the idea of having this option was to improve the NCR process by eliminating the need to create a new NCR for each defect.

Can't you create your work centers as DEFECT LOCATIONS and use this to document the work center for each defect recorded??

Craig,

Thank you for replying to my post. I think it could work. Could share how can you create/mofify existing defect locations.

Any help would be appreciated.

Then whatever Code group you currently have.

Then you assign the code group to your notification type in configuration.
