EHP 6 System SP upgrade

Hello Experts,

We are trying to upgrade the support package[Abap only] from  ERP EHP6 IDES SP02 to SP04.

Unfortunately due to network team issue, unable to establish the network connectivity between Solution manager and ERP EHP6 sp02 system.

Solution manager and EHP6 SP02 system cannot ping each other. Due to this unable add into managed system configuration from solman.

Due to this, i could not generate the XML file which is required to upgrade from EHP6 SP02 to SP04 using SUM.

1.) Apart from SUM, is there anyway to upgrade from EHP6 IDES SP02 to SP04?.

2). SP02 to Sp04 upgrade if only Possible in SUM, how to download the XML file without netwok connectivity from Solution manager to ERP EHP6 system. ?

Hi,

For the sum tool you have to download the stack xml file.

It is technically possible to apply support packages to IDES but it is not recommended.

But if you still want to update the SP you can download all the patchs till sp04 and apply using SPAM.

I don't see any issue till you are not adding any new addon.

Actually, I have to install best Practice "Discreate manuafacuturing" in my same EHP6 System.]

EHP6 SP04  is prerequisite to install best pracice.

OK I will use SPAM for this EHP6 SP02 Sp04 upgrade.

Currently Upgrading the SPAM into latest version.

I have downloaded the following support pacakges to upgrade the SP02 to SP04.

PI_BASIS 7.31

SAP ABA 7.31

SAP BASIS 7.31

SAP BW 7.31

Is there any other mandatory Abap package is required upgrade from SP02 to SP04?

Hi,

You need to add all the patches and then do queue calculation and seeit.

Please use the below note to define the queue to avoid any issues.
