SYNTAX ERROR

Former Member

Hi,

After importing SAPKB70204 in our DEV. It took long time and gets aborted. It was in IMPORT_PROPER phase and cannot re-import anymore. Now it is generating SYNTAX_ERROR in the system.

Kindly advise on how I can re-import the SAPKB70204 again without getting this error.

Paul

Hi,

Also did you upgrade your SAP kernel before starting Support Packages upgrade in your system?

If you still have old logs available in trans/log dir then going through those logs properly will be good start to analyze the exact root cause.

Thanks,

Hello

There will more logs in the \\DEVSVR\sapmnt\trans\log location.

Check the complete log \\DEVSVR\sapmnt\trans\log\SAPIB70204.DVF

Also check the database logs to see whether there are issues at the database level.

Hi,

Check for manual import..

Follow this note..http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-41609

SE38 " ocs_reset_queue" will reset the queue...then import again.

Hi Atul,

I have already checked this note. The database was restored already and it is back to normal.

I was thinking if I re-imported the SAPKB* again will the package continue. Maybe I have to perform some procedures to successfully import this. Please advise if any so that I can re-import the issue again without encountering the same issue.

Hi Paul,

It will be good if you open a message to SAP regarding this issue.

Hi Paul,

Goto ST22 and paste the syntax error from the ABAP runtime error screen.
