error trying to install PPM 5.0 on SAP NW 7.40

Hello everyone,

we are facing an error trying to install PPM 5.0 on SAP NW 7.40

We are not able to identify the needed installations to build a proper SAINT queue to install PPM 5.0.

SAP PAM Info:

PMM 5.0 is released to use with SAP NW 7.40

We read the following SAP Notes and the "relevant" guides for  PPM 5.0 and NW 7.40

SAP Note 1075655

SAP Note 1856601 : Prerequisites for using PPM-PFM 5.0 with Basis 7.40

SAP Note Number: 1075658 (Exchange upgrade to Basis 700 with CPRXRPM 450_700)

We need to know wich version of SAP_BS_FND is needed to install PPM 5.0

The notes info to use SAP_BS_FND 702 is not valid/working (only working with SAP NW 702)

Also the SAP_BS_FND needs to run with WEBCUIF and other components we are not able to identify any installable version in SAP SWDC.

Hi Thomas!

For Business Suite Foundation there was an upgrade to the naming too.

Search the SWDC with the string "SAPK-74701INSAPBSFND" for Business Suite Foundation and

with "SAPK-74701INWEBCUIF" for WEBCUIF on release SAP NW 7.40.

You need SP 8 for PPM 5.0 at least.

I hope this will help installing PPM on NW 7.40.

I tried
to build a consistent installation queue with your information’s with following
dependencies

SAPBSFND
747 is not installable only upgrade from 746 OR from 731 is possible

SAPBSFND
also needs the components WEBCUIF and MDG_FND from 731

(746
needs to be upgraded from 731 as well so I tried to install SAPBSFND 731 first)

But
this was not possible - unresolvable Error during addon_conflict phase)

So I
was trying to import the 731 components together with all required components
of 747 including PPM install files.

So we
need to install (all in one queue) on SAP NW 740 SP 04 with SPAM/SAINT version
7.40 SP 51:

PPM 5.0
with all available patches

SAP_BS_FND
731 and SAP_BS_FND  747 with all patches

SAP
WEBCUIF 731 and SAP WEBCUIF 747 with all patches

SAP MDG
FND 731 and SAP MDG FND 747 with all patches
