JCo RFC Call: poor performance

Hello!

we are facing a performance Problem: when calling an empty ABAP Function by JCo, the response time is by about 200 milliseconds for an call without any parameters. We definitely need to improve the performance. The calls from ABAP to Java are much more quicker (about 15ms).

The System Performance Monitor (ST03) shows the processing time of the called function from about 0,3ms, so where could the other time be left? What is your connection performance?
