DBA_COCKPIT privilege error while installing eHP7 for HANA

Hi,

We are installing erp6.0 ehp7 with HANA DB on SUSE LINUX 11.And iam facing the below error while installing SAP.My Hana Database level is

1.0 SP38 & installing SAP with ROOT user. Any solution to fix this issue...Kindly help me to continue the installation.

ERROR:

[com.sap.hdb.core.main.cmd.HdbCmdMain | Error during execution of SQL command: GRANT EXECUTE ON SYS.MANAGEMENT_CONSOLE_PROC TO DBA_COCKPIT SAP DBTech JDBC: [258]: insufficient privilege: Not authorized]

Hi Sriram,

Thankyou, As per the note 1886953, they are recommended to use HDB admin user for sap installation.But in my scenario iam using DB in one box and APPL in one box.if i use HDB admin(system) in APPL server to install SAP, is SAP will able to identify DB user?

1886953  - Insufficient Privilege While Using SAPinst to Install BW on HANA

I believe this SAP note is applicable only for BW on HANA installations.

As you already in the middle of the installation I suggest you to grant the privileges manually and repeat the phase.
