In the MM Sales Gen Plant view we have availability check indicator as Daily Requirements and Individual Requirements.
Can some one guide me with a live example in the process industry as to when we use 01 and when we use 02 and what is the implication?
Gurus, please guide me.
Hi Adiraj,
Availability check is closely linked up with Transfer of requriements to MRP.
Therefore at material master record level
Daily Requirements - requirements for a material from several orders are transferred to MRP at the end of each day.
Individual requirements - requirmenrts are transferrred to MRP on individual order basis......like in case of make to order scenario, third party order etc.
and therefore availability check is also done in the same pattern.
Hope it helps

Sai

Hi,
Individual requirements are market specific requirements, for instance a particular market may have demand for a particular shade of fabric during a particular season and production or procurement has to be taken up as a one off case,
whereas in daily requirements we are talking about regular products which are manufactured and sold all round the year, for example beverage. Hope I have answered your question.
reward points if useful.
Regards,
Sridhar.
