Sales View-MM 2

Hi all,

In the Sales: Sales Org 2 view there is one field called “Account Assignment Group”. The value for the same is “Finished goods” as far as Sales People are concerned. Is it mandatory to input this field while preparing the sales view of the MM record?

Please guide me.

In account determination procedure

1. If you are using access sequence with account assignment group then it is MANDATORY to be filled in material master.

2. If you are using the access account key then it is NOT MANDATORY to fill this field in material master.

which access sequence you should use depends whether you want to post accounts on the basis of a group of similar material or simply on the basis of the account key

In the Sales: Sales Org 2 view in Material Master, “Account Assignment Group” can be a trigger point to determine the G/L account for accounting entry to be created. Hence, it is advisable to maintain the same.

hI Adiraj,

Account assignment group is basically used for account determination as per material.

you have account determination as per customer classification and as per material classification.

Materials of similar nature are grouped together into one assignment group and are posted into one G/L account like for example.........trading goods, finished goods, semi-finished goods etc.

therefore you maintain an entry in the material master record to determine to what assignment group a material should belong to.

this is configured at basic functions - revenue account determination - check mater data for relevant account assignment.\
