SAP SuPM - Automated KPI from SAP Query

Hi,

We just started the implementation of SAP SuPM 3.0 (Landscape with SAP ECC and SAP BW), and the environment isn´t available yet. So, We have some questions about the SuPM architecture that are important to define the scope of some KPIs in the BBP, and we didn´t find the answer trough SAP Documentation or SCN.

Automated KPI associated to a SAP Query is stored in the model (infocube or DSO) or it is read in "real time" when the KPI is required?

Can we have any performance issues if we use several automated KPIs via SAP Query?

Exists any "business content" related to automation of KPI, or all this automation needs to be developed?

Thanks,

Best Regards,

Fabio Vasconcellos

Hi Fabio,

Here are the answers for all your questions..

1. Automated KPIs associated with SAP Query will read the data from SAP ECC system in "Real-Time" whenever the Report is run.

2. There will not be any performance issue if you have multiple Automated KPIs.

3. There is no Business Content that comes for Automated KPI specifically. You may have to configure Automated KPIs manually for all the KPIs along with the connectors.

Hi Fabio,

we have set up automated KPI loading via BW query in our SuPM environment. In this case, data is read from the Bex query, stored in /SRCORE/... tables and then a process chain is triggered to load the data into the standard SuPM DSO and InfoCube so that it is available in the SuPM application for reporting.

I suppose it works in the same way for SAP Query.

Hi Raghunandan,
