Sales view MM

1.Under the Sales: Sales Org2 view of the Material Master we have the following fields:

a. Material Groups 1 to 5

b. Product Attributes

c. Material Pricing Group

Q1: Can some one advise me as to what is the purpose of these fields by giving a Live example in case of Medical Products range?

Q2: Which SAP Consultant (SD or MM) is responsible for capturing information for these fields?

Please guide me.

Hello Adiraj,

The fields what you have mentioned from sales org.2 generally are used for reporting purpose. they can also be used as set parameter or criteria for pricing a material i.e. you can set a pricing condition record based upon material group or material pricing group.

Product attributes has a different functionality. here you are defining the various characteristics of a material. you can use this in material determination to restrict the material from being picked up based on product attributes.

and finally...........as to who captures the information means..........its MM data but maintained by SD people. SD people maintain data in consultation with MM consultants.
