SAP Netweaver 7.4 upgrade (custom components)

Hello Gurus,

I am trying to upgrade SAP Netweaver 7.01 SP10 to Netweaver 7.4 using SUM 1.08.

Now I'm in Configuration phase (5.3), where it gives you the Target Release components and ask you to choose (migrate/scan inbox/ remove etc). We have lots of custom developed applications. SUM says it will migrate a few, going to scan inbox for some and remove some.

Do we have a log file which will have the complete list and status of these components in the SUM directory. The list is big and i want to send this to our application development team to review.

Hi,

As the version changes many things will not work.

Sum tool will check which all things it can migrate and will give you the result.

I dont know if you can change this status but you might get an error because of that.

When we did the migration we remove all the custom application and redeployed the fixed version after.

You might have alos to undeploy some patches as mentioned in the blog else you might get error.

If this is your test env you can go ahead and see if you get error and then try to fix accordingly.
