Hi,
we are on vmware ESXi 5, with Vmotion and HA clustering. I would like to use some kind of clustering (preferrably Microsoft Windows 2008 Failover clustering) to have a failover when my Application server fails. I was looking for a scenario where Node A VM fails, Node B VM takes over without downtime. (like the normal cluster). Can this be possible? I have referred to notes 1056052 and 1374671. 1374671 says that its not possible to do this. Can you guys please share your strategy on setting up vmware+cluster environment?

According to this SAP note 1374671 it is not supported if you use vMotion.
1374671 - High Availability in Virtual Environment on Windows
VMware:
VMware does not support Microsoft failover cluster guests if one of the following features are used:
VMware Fault Tolerance (FT)
vMotion
